After graduating from Christian Brothers University in 1999, she worked for Arthur Andersen in IT support. Her father, Wayne Bonner, had encouraged her to work in a different environment to ensure she liked construction — at that time, not many women were in the industry.

In 2002, Bonner Aden came back to work with her father, first as office manager then a project manager/estimator and now as president of the company. Construction is what she always wanted to do. A & B Construction was a finalist for MBJ’s 2018 Small Business Awards.
