The opportunities available to women entrepreneurs are endless and our successes should be celebrated.
Women entrepreneurs are invited to join NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners, Memphis Chapter) at the June 11th luncheon to hear empowering words from Shelley Baur, a founding member of NAWBO Memphis. This event is to celebrate the start of a new NAWBO Memphis leadership team led by Kim Heathcott, president of Clarion Security.
Shelley Baur, author of Integrity-Based Communications: Using truth to get what you really want, is the owner of One Source Associates. Baur has extensive business experience in marketing, field sales, communications, training, learning and development. She has designed materials and conducted workshops for all levels of employees, emphasizing personal analysis and skill development. An entrepreneur since 1986, Baur has consulted on projects for such varied groups as small business owners, Fortune 100 business units, network marketing organizations and universities.
Baur is a certified facilitator for Brian Tracy’s Phoenix Seminar for Maximum Achievement and Entrepreneurial Education Foundation programs, which she has taught at The University of Memphis, Fogelman College of Business & Economics. She is also a certified facilitator for Development Dimensions International (DDI) programs.
A graduate of The University of Memphis (B.A. in psychology), Baur is a graduate/ past board member and program chair for Leadership Memphis, past president of NAWBO Memphis, past president for Sales & Marketing Executives of Memphis/board member, SME-International. She is a member of Toastmasters International, where she has served in multiple leadership roles.
Registration will begin at 11:15 a.m., with lunch running from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Cost is $25 for NAWBO members, $30 for non-members and $35 for on-site registration.
